Asian Games – Day 2 Report

Excitement continued into the Second of the Asian Games Sailing event here in Ningbo.

The wind and current conditions played a big part in determining the finishing positions today especially in the afternoon as wind dropped from 13 knots to just 8 knots but the current stayed strong.

SPG World Champion Maximilian Maeder remained dominant in the Formula Kite Class while another World Champion JPG Mixed 470 pair dropped one bullet to the host nation CHN.

Most contested class of the day was ILCA 7 with the top 3 having equal points.

The Centre was also visited by an important dignitary today. Mr. Liu Guoyong, member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the National Sports General Administration. Mr. Guyong accompanied by his delegation met with the President ASAF – Dr.Malav Shroff and Secretary General Mr. Jason Lim.
